The midwifery model of care includes educating women so that they may make informed choices about their healthcare.

Why would I choose homebirth?
You should give birth where you feel safest, where you can be who you need to be in labor and in the place where you would like your baby to first experience our physical world.

What modalities are used?
A holistic, eclectic mix of Western herbs, Eastern medicine, classical homeopathy, flower essences and old-fashioned healing.

What about water birth?
A tub can feel wonderful in labor and can be an amazing place to birth your baby. At the home visit we can decide if your bathroom tub is big enough or we'll discuss the details of reserving a portable birth tub.

Will insurance cover a Homebirth Midwife?
If your policy has "out-of-network" coverage, then you can likely be reimbursed for at least a portion of my fees, though I encourage you to plan financially for the possibility of not receiving reimbursement from your insurance provider.
